Nepenthes gracilis, the first nepenthes that i grow and the first carnivorous plant that i like....but failed to grow them to the actual size that i saw them outside:crying:

Saw some u. gibba at there too...the soil was yellow soil? and flodded with a lot of water/

wow, master pices, your eye sight is so good, small stuff in the wild like d. binata can be spotted by you, that ultric in the small fraction of the photo are spotted too, salute salute:1thumbup:

allen, you should try head south a bit on a new way some where near kampar, if i've not mistaken, the place is north of tanjung tualang, there you can have a view of gracilis and mirabilis, but it's not directly on the road side, need to walk about 10 meter away from the main road and a good eye sight like pices, I am lucky to "meet" those nep there on my fishing trip with friends during cny:smile:

don't think I'm going to go there for another fishing trip cos of the result we got the last time i went there with my friend who drove the "team" there, good luck on your finding:smile:

nepnut, don't think that place is near any PB spot, it's newly cleared area with a few natural swamp, road still not open(blocked by some object) that last time i went there(some how i manage to get the car to "jump" over the barrier), asked a few fishing fella there, they said only local fish and common alien-tilapia there:laugh:

Ok, this is getting off topic (talking to myself) *biggrin2**biggrin2**biggrin2*

Go to Air kuning bird sancturay side (if road not cut off) or the oil plam plantation side.

This is what I used to catch there once upon a time over there... :shy:

Boon,
This is what commonly known as "Emporer Fish" or " Butterfly peacock" in aquarium trade. It's scientific name is Cichla ocellaris and it originated from South America. It's was introduced to Malaysia in the early 80s and it's been spreading along kinta valley, Selangor or any ex-mining ponds. Good or bad for the future, only time will tell...
