Please, be careful...
hey guys i just wanna warn those having 1 yr old lithops out there..
i ordered a few 1 yr old lithops and a few 3 yr old lithops from Germany. today, i found out that all my one yr old lithops went missing. i suspect the birds came and ate it. so, be careful!!! |
Re: Please, be careful...
What?? 1 yr old lithops ate by birds!!!:eek:Oh no…so sorry to hear it… Actually 5mm in diameter in very small..thats why birds will treat them as food…:tt2: How many 1 yr old lithops that u have?? This quite expensive…:crying::crying: |
Re: Please, be careful...
It could be rats/mice instead since birds use their sight to look for food. I doubt Malaysian birds can see the difference between a lithops and stone. A rat/mouse uses their sense of smell to look for food. Most probably it smell a nice juicy "stone" and decided to devour it.
So sorry for your lost. |
Re: Please, be careful...
its okay. how are your lithops doing?
haha.. dont look beyond what birds can do.. if they cull out green grasshoppers from green grass why not lithops in pebbles. my lithops was on a wall. right on top.. so i dont think the mouse can climb so high up. plus my house does not have mouses cuz ive got a few cats.. |
Re: Please, be careful...
Ok, that rules out rats/mouse. My lithops are ok. One die tho' :( The rest seem to have grown bigger and one of them is starting to grow new leaves. The two leaves are opening and I can see new leaves trying to peep out. The old leave is also wrinkling up.
