Re: Truncata black from BE
Ed, the wild population is gone now...so i don't think it'll be able to be IDed
|
Re: Truncata black from BE
It is NOT a hybrid at all, BOTH parent plants are pure species N. truncata, therefore all of these seedlings are also pure species, N. truncata. They are, however, from known individual parent plants, each one unique, but still a pure species; it so happens that they are of a very small population, (which may no longer exist in its natural habitat), that exhibit these extreme dark colors and wide peristome features. - Rich

Re: Truncata black from BE
Hi Melson,
Very healthy seedling you got there, did you grow it in an intermediate condition (with cool night)?? |
Re: Truncata black from BE
Thank you guys.
Yes, I grow it in an intermediate condition with cool night this winter. But the summer in Taiwan will be lowland condition (temperature up to 28℃ ~34℃).I begining to worry about that. |
Re: Truncata black from BE
Hi Melson,
Thanks for sharing this information. Looks like these seedling do better in intermediate condition rather than LL. At least in Taiwan it's seasonal, not like here in Malaysia, hot, hot and hot... *biggrin2* |
