I thought I'd post sdome pics of my windowsill Nepenthes here.
This is a N. veitchii 'Bareo Highland' that I recieved in a trade. It has been growing steadily since it arrived in late September; it took no time at all to recover from barerooting and shipping.

This pitcher was about 1" tall when I recieved the plant. It is inflating very nicely.

Now for my N. burbidgeae. It's ugly, because it's been burned while sitting outside in partial shade. Now it's on the windowsill, and it seems to be picking up the pace a little.

Ooooooo, very nice plants! Your Miranda is looks great! How long have you had it? Mine's still about the size of the basal on yours.

I also like the coloration on your veitchii. May I ask which direction your window that you have it growing in is facing?

Thanks for the compliment!

I have had the miranda since mid August, I think. I got it in a trade, and it has put out three new leaves on the main vine and that basal was completely absent when I recieved the plant.

My window faces SE, S, and SW. It's three separate windows that are connected at about 30-45 degree angles.

Ahhh, your lucky, the only south facing window in my house is in my garage.

Hi Jimmy

Your N miranda will produce some 1 feet tall pitchers soon.They are very fast and vigorous growers.My veitchii x fusca seems to prefer dappled direct sunlight now because its pitchering on every leaf but the problem is that the plants pitchers aren't that big only around 7cm.But the leaves are almost the same as yours but still very small.

Hi Ken,

No doubt! Lol, the miranda had upper pitchers as big as my hand (and my hand is big) when it arrived. The inflating upper will be the first pitcher made under my care.

That veitchii x fusca should start looking awesome soon. Does it get morning, noon, or afternoon light? And how long does it get light? That's the #1 factor in getting Neps to pitcher - good light, and a lot of it!
