Thanks for sharing Lim, our max temperatures here is 37C and change, this is maximum temp in the city reported by weather branch, but I have not yet measured actual temp in my garden myself.

I have recently lost my one and only Cephalatus, maybe from the heat or maybe from too much water in the water tray, I am not too sure. Neps that died, Bellii 2pcs. and one other nep that I can't remember just now.

Lim, do you put water tray for your Sundews? And what is your main potting mix? Reason I ask is my cocopeat dries up quickly so I use water tray.

Yes. Cephalotus would died at that high temperature. I lost 3 x Cephalotus after put them under full sun. I grow my Cephalotus under artificial lighting now. Temperature won't exceed 40 degrees Celcius.

Sarracenia grow well under that temperature.

Some lowland Nepenthes also grow well at that temperature. But for N. belli, I grow it under 50 % shade. Max. temperature= 40-42 degrees Celcius.

Medium I used for my sundew = 1 part sphagnum moss or peat : 1 part perlite. And yes, I use water tray.

the weather in the island is very unforgiving too....scorching hot sun from 8am till late evening....old pitchers are paper crisp dried....the only way that i sort of counter balance the humidity is by hosing them with tonnes of water at 9pm and continue to water sprinkle them till bout 8am before i left for my workplace....the sun loving neps especially 'n. mirabilis', gracilis and its hybrids, sundews and sarracenias are doing great..but my highland setup, vft intermediate neps and its owner are now sort of suffering from the intense heat...:glare:
