A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand
It's a pretty interesting exhibition, much bigger than the Penang Flora Fest with many things to see. All kind of plants like fruit trees, flowering plants, succulents, air plants, orchids and etc, just too many :spinning:. I know orchid lovers will have a shopping spree there... just so many orchids but so little CPs :crying:
Of course I'll only concentrate on neps... *biggrin2* http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/7057/floraex1.jpg http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/9182/floraex2.jpg http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/6899/floraex3.jpg http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/6416/floraex4.jpg http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4783/floraex5.jpg http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/4466/floraex6.jpg http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/5493/floraex7.jpg http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/7400/floraex8.jpg |

Re: A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand
Thanks for posting this! I wish people on the Thai Forums would post info (in English) about upcoming shows so more of us could have a chance to make it! I'll bet you had fun! Did it seem like the sellers were getting a lot of activity? Do you know if this will be an annual event?
Thanks ~Shawn |
Re: A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand

Re: A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand
I am indeed very interested in the organic fertiliser. This is the first time I see a company comming up with a specific fertiliser for Neps. Thanks for the info robert.
I've always wanted to try those fried bugs and worms. Really look so tasty to me. Can feel my mouth watering with sliva after looking at it. Did you try them Robert? Is this the same as the show in this thread last year. |
Re: A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand
Sorry la guys... this is actually a last minute trip.. so didn't inform anyone and also it's my first time there, didn't know what to expect... though maybe like night bazaar... (in a way it is) *biggrin2*
Paphioboy, How can one come back empty handed?? *biggrin2* Shawn & BA, Yes, this is an annual event, held in commemoration of her majesty's birthday. It'll last until this weekend (23rd Aug), so there's still chance if you guys wanted to go. David, Yes, it's indeed very interesting, too bad I didn't get a sample as my mind was in "hunting" mode of plants, not fertilizers... now I'm kicking myself on why I didn't at least get some to try.... sigh  It's not the same event. The one with link attached by you is a competition for neps and it's very specific. This event in Hatyai is a flora exhibition covering all sorts of plants. As for bugs, yes I tried (of coz!), can't find these things in Malaysia *biggrin2*. I think it's an acquired taste... *biggrin2* |
Re: A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand
Hi Robert,
That fertilizer triggers my interest. I do not sure; my crew can find it in Bangkok. :sweating: Did you taste all those insects? Even me, I cannot find confident to eat it. |
Re: A flora exhibition in Hatyai, Thailand
Hi Khun Pop,
I'm surprise you wasn't aware of this "Amazon Grow" since it's from BKK. Come on... are you sure you're a khun Thai?? Just kidding ya.... *biggrin2* I find the bugs from Northern Thailand to be tastier since most bugs there were collected from the wild... I love bugs !! |
