I get a bag at one ringgit, though prices might have changed. Yeah, I flush it with a lot of water to flush out the salts so that the soil becomes leached of nutrients. Kinda wasting water. But the overall cost is not as high as using LFS and it lasts longer. But watering schedule will be more frequent.

Thanks for those infoes.Well LFS is difinitly much more expensive than one bag of red soil if my assumtion of its quantity in a bag is right.I buy normally RM 4 per packet of LFS but its much easier for me because i don't really have to flush down any sort of salt.

kentosaurs:you can acctually get those burn soil in most nursery.Usually around rm2 but in sg.buluh or kota damansara its rm1 only.Its just clay soil burn with some wood and sand.Thats why you can see the charcoals.People use it for normal plants
