Default Ceropegia

I began collecting Ceropegia a couple of years ago. They are difficult to find, but they grow well in my subtropical climate, and a couple of them have actually bloomed. Here's Ceropegia stapeliiformis.

Here's a flower that just bloomed.

I was lucky that one of the flowers got pollinated. I didn't take a photo of the seed pod, but it was long and skinny. One day I noticed some cotton-like stuff on a nearby plant and soon realized that the seed pod had opened. I don't know how many seeds flew away, but here's one that didn't.

I planted the seeds that I could gather, not expecting them to grow. But a few of them actually germinated, and it took only about a week. Here's a seedling that is a few weeks old. It's about an inch tall.

Here's a flower of another plant, Ceropegia ampliata.

I hope a few more people are now interested in Ceropegia.
