Post more pics of veitchii, Robert! There is something I suddenly thought, is it possible that the flared peristome of climbing veitchii acts as some sort of clasp/grip for the whole pitcher? In most pics, I can see the peristome 'wrapping' around the tree trunk leaving the peristome still looking flared.
i dont mind to post but most will be old pics.

yes the peristomes were still flared, and pitchers lie against the host (tree).
