Looks like it's getting close, but I have no personal experience with seed pods, and my estimations are usually wrong. Maybe someone who has more experience can chime in?

I estimate it'll take another 6 weeks.
Inorder to harvest the seeds, and since you cannot stand there waiting for them to ripen, get a transparent plastic bag 2-3 time the size of the stalk, wrap around the whole stalk then make many small holes 1cm (more or less). More holes on the upper section and around the sides allowing for transpiration, on the lower section smaller hole about ½ cm allowing for water drainage and arrest the seeds. Check once a week but depend how close was the plant from your house.
Another important point to note. Use the surrounding tree branches and foliages to cover against direct sunlight to prevent the seeds being cooked, esp if it was in the open. After harvesting disperse some seeds back to the wild. Take only the amount you required.

Robert has a good method of collecting the seeds. My estimate is that the seeds will begin to turn brown in 2-3 weeks, and the first ones will begin to pop open about 1-2 weeks after that. You can harvest all the seeds when the first pods begin to pop open, or even a bit before that.
