Hi there. Just want to check with you guys. Can the "D. Ericksoniae x Puchella" germinate from leaf? As i saw mine have tiny plantlet. But due to the plantlet too small so cannot i identified. Anyone have seen it before? Please advice. Thank you,

Al the pygmy drosera can germinate form gemmae (modified leaf). If the gemmae are not removed from the centre of the plant when they are formed they can begin to germinate and overcrowd the parent plant. If you are growing thmem outdoors then generally rain will disperse the gemmae in the pot.

Removal of gemmae is easily done by tipping the pot upside down and gently scraping the centre of the plant with something similar to a toothpick. The gemmae will then fall down onto the surface below.

Oh i see, understood. Thanks for the info strath76. But mine only one baby plantlet appear. That why i not sure as i dun see any gemmae at the plant before.
