There are hundreds of different forms of N. truncata! I have 8 plants all grown from seed, and no two are exactly alike, some with wider perisomes, some green, and others more red, some very cylindrical, other wide and squat, and this is only from a single site! There are "highland" (actually intermediate) forms that have a slightly hairy petiole, and may become very dark red in some individual plants. - Rich
