The plant receives direct morning sun (until noon). I have moved it around few times over the last 2 years (to find the best place for it) until it found the place to call home. Only the pitchers are in shaded places because that's how it likes to land the pitchers.

I find that Northiana likes a lot of sun and a lot of water (with fast draining substrate).
