I am really interested to see the progress and how you are building it. Need to always find better ways to keep my plants happier. So I want to see how others are growing their plants.

So you will only grow ampullarias in the chamber? Hmm, why not other species?... Actually I am also growing more amps in my grow chamber than any other species in the house. I place the rest of my other species in the garden. By the way, where are you staying? Can you indicate your location under your profile please. Thanks. The chamber is made of wood, my english is too bad to explain what I want to do, so I' ll show you the progress with pictures.

I only want to grow ampullarias because I enjoy them a lot and there are many different colors.

« Reply #3 on 9 Jan, 2008, 16:38 »Make sure to heavily caulk the seams with a silicon based caulk. If you don't plan on having the temperature in the 90s (F), then you can use water-based caulk. Just in case, I'd also put at least 4 mil plastic sheeting underneath the chamber, and protruding at least 1' outwards from the chamber in all directions. You don't want your wooden floors ruined.... Hey dave i think the material for the wall are "MDF Board"...

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF or MDFB) is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down softwood into wood fibers, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and resin, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. It is a building material similar in application to plywood but made up of separated fibers, not wood veneers. It is denser than normal particle board.
