This is a sticky issue but good that we have some construtive discussion about this. Ken, my advice, start your collection by getting plants from local hobbyist (Sabah and Sarawak included), there's should be plenty to different species for you to trade or buy.

Please be aware bringing plants like nep from overseas will require a lot of paper work by law. If you don't follow the law, you have only yourself to blame and you'll bare all the consequences.
