Yes. Cephalotus would died at that high temperature. I lost 3 x Cephalotus after put them under full sun. I grow my Cephalotus under artificial lighting now. Temperature won't exceed 40 degrees Celcius.

Sarracenia grow well under that temperature.

Some lowland Nepenthes also grow well at that temperature. But for N. belli, I grow it under 50 % shade. Max. temperature= 40-42 degrees Celcius.

Medium I used for my sundew = 1 part sphagnum moss or peat : 1 part perlite. And yes, I use water tray.
