OK, I grow U. aurea in a lily pot in the garden, I don't feed them.
U. aurea flowers quite freely. I was given a few strands by David and now they grow like weed.
I have a aquarium that "contaminated" by U. gibba, it's kind of difficult to get rid of them, I saw once in a nursery that U. gibba thrive in a shallow tray with alot of yellow flowers, I think should get some a try growing them in the garden too.
