i use tap water for my VFTs now and they seem to do fine so far.many growers in Malaysia use tap water for CPs and seem good so far.
but i always top water my plants with distilled or RO water once or twice a month to flush out any minerals if there is some
i think as long as the pipe doesnt suffer any rust,the water is good
