Actually the N.hurrelliana was known to scientist years before it was described as a new species. It was thought to be a hybrid of N.veitchii x fusca. It was later confirmed by another scientist through field study at the site where this plants can be found.
The N.veitchii x fusca that you bought is a MT TC plants. I think it was a horticulture hybrid by Ch'ien Lee when he was at MT.

Base on the photo above, you need to change the media and replace it with new sphagnum moss and if you can control watering, water them about 2-3 days once. Like what Bifurcatum suggested, let it receive a bit more sunlight so that it will produce a more bigger and colourful pitchers.
