Marigold, ya, we have hills and even a few cliffs, LOL! Actually, Kansas is much more beautiful than anyone gives it credit for, we have tons of wild flowers as well.

Thanks for the tip Aliamyz, he has a Siberian Husky for a pet and on days that my sons asthma acts up I take over his chores for him. We are trying several different natural remedies (such as mullein and ACV) and so far they are working good.
Ken, right you are, I think it is maxima dark x truncata. I agree, the sunflowers are beautiful when open but very very sad looking when dying! I should have gotten a pic of the milo to, it makes a nice contrast of redish brown with the yellow sunflowers.
