Re: Ambitions......
Ever since I was a small child I had a fascination for the ocean and its inhabitants. Today I am a Marine Biologist, but I still have many ambitions and dreams, and I still have a lot of time in this world to pursue these. I am a firm believer that whatever you are professionally in no way dictates what you can and cannot do.You can do whatever you want with the life that was given to you, just be sure that whatever you do makes YOU happy.
I can assure you there are many people/scientists/botanists whose career involves studying CPs. However, you do not have to be any of the above in order to do this.
It is ok to have dreams and ambitions, and if possible you can do whatever you can to achieve them. It is never too soon nor too late for anything, and if you set your mind to it nothing is completely impossible. It is important to recognize what one truly wants, and then work hard to achieve it. Not all moments in life will be easy, some might be quite hard and confusing, but I can assure though that it is all a means to an end. Every right/wrong choice you make in life teaches you something and makes you grow and mature as a person. It is importanto to keep in mind to continue to make these choices, right and wrong, until you get to that place which makes you feel happy, comfortable, and complete.
Ken, you are young, but it is great that you are thinking about these things already. There is no rush, take your time to thoroughly think things through. Nothing beats talking/learning/observing those which are older than you and have experience, it is from these people that the best advice comes from. I wish you nothing but the best, and let me tell you once again that if you really set your mind to something you will soon find out that nothing is unachievable.
Later!
