Ken, I mentioned this in another forum, so I'll mention again
I'd go for maxima because it's easier and grows faster. Then you can propagate the plant and get more young little maximas! And you can sell them, earn money and buy the veitchii!
BUT, veitchii is more rewarding and beautiful. Though I remember you never really had any luck growing it, do you? How's your veitchii pink?
