Hi all,

Many thanks for the warm welcome. It's great to see that now there seems to be some genuine interest in Nepenthes in Malaysia. Congrats to David on the development of this forum.

I have just been notified that the publication of N. jamban and N. lungulata was released in the latest Blumea issue (December 06), but I haven't even received my copy yet. For those who are able to get their hands on this issue they will find a more detailed discussion about these new species, plus some excellent illustrations by Joseph Pao, of Sarawak Forestry.

I'm sorry to say, but as N. jamban is a high altitude species, it will probably not adapt well to cultivation in Malaysia, except for those of you who live in Cameron Highlands (or similar). It is a spectacular plant though, and like other Nepenthes difficult to do justice by photographs alone.

Best regards,
Ch'ien
