Default Re: A Proposal To My School

I think I can spare you a few D. paradoxa plants for your project.

Actually I think a mini bog would be a good idea. The air around the bog will be more humid when you have water around and you can have aquatic utrics or even aldrovanda in the pond. I woudl suggest U. aurea if you are going for utrics. At least can see the traps if compared to gibba. I also like the fact that aurea traps would make a popping sound to close their traps in protest when you lift them out of the water. That would poison more of your school mates when they see/hear that... Well it did poison me more when I first experienced it.

Then on the banks of the water you can have terrestrial utricularia, Drosera, Pinguicula, Dionaea muscipula and a few Sarracenias... ok, maybe the sarracenias can be submerged in the water about 2-3 inches.

Nepenthes can be grown around the bog further away from the water. Perhaps some amps would be nice and some tough vigorous gracilis, mirabilis and rafflesiana unless somebody is willing to donate some other more rare and spectacular species.
