Went out to check on my plants just now after the heavy rain, and thank God I checked, the whole garden is teeming with snails!!!! Half of my Echeveria mother plant has now been eaten like salad, I just bought the plant

....
Ethically, how do I go about solving the snail problem? Do I put bait or do I just get a rack and put everything out of ground level? They will just slime their way up and continue their siesta all the same I guess......

My blue tongue lizard pet snacks on them , but I suppose it can't take more than it can stomach...(he's crunching away at some snails I brought in for him as I type) :T
