Hi acidic055,
Just to find out, is the peat moss old/stale or have they popped out just recently? do they live on the surface or in the peat moss? because I haven't had this before in my media but seeing they look like nematodes/soil larvae I don't think they are harmful.

umm i dont think its stale....because its seems to have popped up from all the pots that have my peat moss in it. they live kinda just under the surface i think. it might make it more difficult that i live in australia =P

So sad to hear about this, but I've never experienced this before. Just worried that the worms would chew on your plant roots.

Those are soil nat larvae. They are usually harmless, since they mainly feed on the organic material in the soil. The only time they have been a problem for me is with seedlings, which they kill very quickly. (they ate my mimosa plant seedlings
) To get rid of them you could use an insecticide, or you can let the soil dry out for a while.
