N.reinwardtiana and its hybrid
« Thread Started on May 17, 2007, 8:07pm » Lowland reinwardtiana may not be as beautiful, cylindrical and longer than its highland cousin but the growth of the leaves and pitchers tend to be more compact. The pitchers possessed wing ribs.

lower pitchers are usually red but as the plant matured the uppers are more greenish with occassional light red blotches.

N.reinwardtiana (highland)

the natural hybrid :
ferrugineomarginata ( reinwardtiana x albormarginata )
The peristome is beautiful -lipstick red. The leaves look more like albormarginata but the winged ribs a replicate of the mother plant-reinwardtiana

The lowland reinwardthiana is your own plant? The shape is similar to alata huh? Nice! I like it. easy to grow?
Hey... wait a minute!!! There's a red ampullaria at the background of the first picture. Heh, heh, I always get all excited when I see red ampullarias.
Hey, the highland reinwardthiana in the picture has only one "eye" spot.

The highland form has tubby bottom and this one has squinted eye spot-one big and one small, strange.
