Generally any plants from CH should avoid direct sun straight away, we shall let it acclimatise to the high temperature in the low land. Your ceph looked very much like getting stress from the change of growing condition. Keep it in shady place first, then slowly introduce to more sunlight, see if this helps.
I don't mean ceph doesn't like direct sunlight, but just that it need some adaptation. Mine getting direct morning sunlight for few hours.
