Default Re: We were rejects from the latest BE order in July

Ken, the species is very compact and doesn't vine. So taking a cutting is not easy although I have actually done it before and succeeded in rooting it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone 'cos for the 2 months, I found myself checking on the cutting every chance I had. I was paranoid because it was my only medium sized campanulata at that time and it was very hard to come by.

Why I took a cutting? Because I thought it was suffering from root rot. It wasn't. When I cut the stem, I nearly cried seeing a very healthy core. The lower part of the stem didn't send out any new shoots and subsequently died.

N. campanulata sends out offshoots/runners occasionally so these are a better source of new plants.
