Looks like the neps on this mountain is safe judging by the experience of a British nep enthusiat who went trekking for the elusive neps in Langkawi recently. Check out his exausting tale:

BTW, for the non-Malaysian/Singaporean, Mat Salleh is a Malay term for the white westerners.
