In the wild, Cephs can be found growing in extreme conditions; exposed to full sun for the entire day as well as in deep shade amongst grasses. The main factor is that the roots are cool during their growing season. During summer when the heat hits the media and water level drops, the plants loses most of their growth above the ground.

Now, we can grow our plants out in full sun. But during the dry and hot season in June-August, keep the plants in bright shade to prevent the plants from losing too much of their growth.
