alcran, you've suceeded in conveying the tortures that our beloved CPs go through under uninformed hands... My heart goes out to dear CPs.

Here's something I wrote some time back. It is based on an insident that happened to me in my previous job. I posted this up before in the old forum. Will just do it here again since we have a thread here...

The Horrors of the Pitcher Plant World

I had a visitor….
A visitor to my tiny cubicle…
My little corner in the office…

Its her, its her…
It’s my new boss…
Visiting my little space…

What words would she utter…
What compliments… or
What chastising would I receive…

No, it was none the above…
Nothing of that sort…
Nothing that I was ready for…

“What’s that…!”
“What’s that you have there…”
“What strange thing is that…”

At that cue I gurdled my “pitcher” cap…
At that moment I was ready to go…
Ready to share with her the wonders of the pitcher plant world

As I opened my mouth to speak…
She blurted out…
Eh! Bull’s Balls or what?!!!

silence…

I was speachless…

What horrors my ears have heard…
What insult to my precious “pets”.
What an unexpected twist…

My precious, precious “pets”…
To my “pets” on my computer screen…

I shall not forget…
I shall remember…
I shall stuff a whole bunch of Post-it in her mouth…!!!

silence…

But I left without a fight…
Without post-it in her mouth…
For I’m a coward…
A coward to my grave…

My precious, My pets…
Forgive me…
Forgive me for showing you to such horrors of creation…

I shall hence forth promise to keep you safe…
Safe from these walking talking horrors of the pitcher plant world…
