Default Re: from tissue culture to flower?

Yes, my question is whether or not you can grow a plant, specifically nepenthes to flower invitro. Reason being was already stated...but it WOULD be practical for someone who wanted to be serious in hybridizing. Think about it. the tissue grows so fast invitro; yes, microbes and mold would be number one enemy, but to think you could go from tissue to flower in 2 yrs...kinda just something i think about at work to pass the time. Finding pollen when one of my plants decides to flower, even if it was one i wanted to hybridize, is to much of a hassel. But learning about tissue culture, specifying in carnivorous plants is what i am going to school for, so anyone with experience in nepenthes tissue culture that would be able to give me a little leason or too would be much appreciated, and would be rewarded with cape sundew seeds.=) i know, too generous, right? hope to find u(S)
