not sure what is it.

hey let me tell you a bit about dormancy.

for Venus Fly traps, they need a dormancy period every year to stay healthy and alive for the next year or so.each dormancy period is around 3-4months.

Dormancy is when the time your plant growth slows down and their leafs and traps grow smaller and shorter sometimes.

dormancy can be done by putting them somewhere cooler.since we live in a tropical country,we need to put them in the fridge.

when your plant shows signs of dormancy, you will need to start lessen the amount of light its receiving day by day.for example if your plant usualy receive 4hours of direct sunlight, then the next day you give it only 3hours,then the next day 2hours and so on...

after done the reduction of photoperiod, put it somewhere completly dark like in a dark room for a few days or wait until your venus fly trap STOP growing completly.

at last when your VFT stops growing, unpot your plant, remove the soil around its roots, wash it a bit, wrap its roots with some sphagnum moss, put it in an Airtight container and place it in the fridge.

make sure the VFT experience a bit cooler temps before you put it in the fridge.

samething when you wanna bring it out after 3months in the fridge, slowly acclimatize it to the temperature.if you drasticly put it in a hot place after you bring it outta fridge, your plant will die...

sorry for the long sentences.hope i help
