Rocks...

Does anyone know where to get pumice and vermiculite? Or those largeish lava rocks? If i'm looking for a more rocky feel instead of sphagnum.

Ah I gotta go there. Vermiculite is mixed into mediums for some plants right? Do you know which plants like vermiculite in the mix?

It is not necessary to add vermiculite in the mixture, perlite is good enough. I heart some people add in vermiculite for pings' media which need more air for the roots. But still, there are people succeed without it, as long as the growing condition is right for them.
As for lava rock or maybe some nice drift wood, you can try Natural Aquatic World at SS19, near your place. « Last Edit: Mar 25, 2007, 2:17pm by cactustts »Link to Post - Back to Top
