Aaron as Bactrus said, if the pitcher is cut or if the tip of the tendril is cut a pitcher will not regrow, but keep the leaf, just cut the tendril off near the tip of the leaf.

hahahaha! What I mean is that if you keep looking at the developing pitcher everyday, it will seem like it takes a long time to develop, sometimes more frustrating if it stops developing. So my suggestion is to just leave it alone and maybe inspect once a week
