I personally find VFT to be quite a PITA to grow, especially if grown exposed to the elements. I have killed two of them, both slowly shrinking and looking pretty miserable until they finally KOed. I find sarracenia much easier to put through 'dry dormancy', with higher survival rates and they grow much more vigorously..
