Default Re: HELP my Hookeriana!!

I can't imagine either vitamin or minerals for hamsters could have any harmful effect on Nepenthes, probably might do them some good instead! The vitamins will decompose into some mild fertilizer, and may be directly useful too, Vit. B1 (Thiamine mononitrate, or T. hydrocloride) is often used in rooting compounds as it is used to form new roots. Plants manufacture their own vitamins. It's why CPs are carnivorous, they need to digest the proteins of their prey in order to get the amino units (which give us humans and other animals some problems sometimes) to synthesize their own vitamins. Any trace minerals are also most likely useful as well. - Rich
