OK, reviving an old thread....

Yeah David, I like your rationale of a break from studies - taking photos of CPs. But if only it was that easy...

I still have another 3 years of study left in Sydney, so I'll definitely try to go around and snap a few photos! Too bad Exotica Plants is in some rural Queensland area, if not, I'll surely be there in a jiff.

There are a lot of cps in Australia. I've seen a few droseras in the bushland during my (limited) travels around. Should bring my camera next time. If I remember correctly, Western Australia seems to be the center of diversity. I've recently chatted with a botanist friend who went over in summer to study wildflowers. He said he saw mats and mats of miniature sundews flowering too. Too bad he's only studying the Proteaceae family, and not CPs, or else could've got some seeds from him
