I have my doubts about this actually working. Most of my pitchers (especially on "juvenile" plants) significantly increase in size naturally. Of course final size is dependent on conditions too, but given perfect conditions, pitchers are predetermined to only reach a certain size. When there there would be a natural progression of say, 6, 8.5, then 10 inches, manually aborting the 2nd pitcher in the lineup more than likely only gives the illusion that the 3rd pitcher will be larger than it would otherwise. To prove this even works, the minimum you would need is multiple plants of the same clone at the same stage in growth in the same exact conditions, half with a "2nd" pitcher removed, and half that haven't been messed with. Either way, I don't buy it.
