I heard recently B52 is the largest in the market.
G16 too in the past.
In local, neither of us own any, even if there is, hard to tell.
I recalled I saw a typical form VFT has trap almost the size of my finger. Can you believe that?

But it is just typical.

For my view as a lousy grower, no matter what giant VFT i own, will always grow lousy and small trapped. Others like TS, expert in VFT, they can grow giant by closing their eyes.

If you can give VFT a good growing area, FULL SUN, WINDY, Controlled watering, BEST SOil media mix. You will have Giant in any.

The B52 is the biggest VFT so far I heard, the trap itself reaches 5cm in length.
Hey Jeff, I'm no expert at all, trust me, be more sensitive to the growing environment + some observation, everybody can be so call "expert". I have just PMed you on how lousy I am as a VFT grower.
I agreed that some forms can grow quite big traps but some other forms like fused tooth, cupped trap, cudo etc can never reach that size, they are not as vigorous as other forms maybe due to their deformed characteristic. I also found that red forms also never get giantic size, is this because of lack of chlorophyll in the plant, I wonder?

Thanks for your help, I am in China, in fact here is unsuitable to plant in most time, but I can use the greenhouse. Create one suiting the little environment that the Venus's-flytrap grows light. I agree to your statement very much. So long as give them the environment suitable, the clip that most varieties can be longer and satisfactory. Thank you again

Hey Tommi, you are from China! Mind to tell which part of China are you from?
I have a relative in Xiamen, he grew his VFT (from me) outside the veranda, it has grown so beautifully with the life spahgnum moss in it's pot. The nature has provide everything it need to thrive!
I think you can grow VFTs nicely in your place too, you have four season!!! The most tricky thing is the dormancy VFTs required, your climate already provide that cold temperature in winter. Just place them outdoor under full sunlight, they'll grow and sleep as what they experienced in their natural habitat in the States.
