Tran, I think as a last course of action, please try to talk to your government agent tell him or her that Nepenthes are found in Vietnam as well, tell them the species name, etc. then also explain that the plants you are importing is artificially propagated so pest free. These are all Talk however no hard documents, but maybe they will allow you to bring in.

I am not too sure if PRA also involves the possibility of the imported plants to become pests themselves. For example, we had experienced here that our Drosera import permit was denied because the agency thought that droseras might become invasive pests (weeds) here. I guess I answered the question, PRA is for Pest risk, it does not say anything about risk of becoming "weeds".

Good luck Tran! I hope the plants are opened and potted or sent back already or else they will end up dead!

Marvin, I am not sure but maybe you are off topic here! Kindly please post a bit more details about your questions and comments so that we can understand. Tran's problem is I think more on Nepenthes importation particulrly for Pest Risk Analysis.

Which reminds me Tran, if the supplier can provide Phytosanitary permit, that should prove that the plant is free from pest... which means regardless of pest risk, it should be pest free because of the Phyto certificate. I hope you have resolved the problem already... I am also not sure if there are "unofficial" ways for you to deal with those guys, sometimes they give you a hard time because they want to charge you "extra fees" if you know what I mean, I don't want to mean that this act is common in Vietnam though.

What I mean was to import(is this the word?) seeds of Vfts and Sarras from other country.Do they seize the seeds bacause it's endangered?

Quite out of topic here Marvin, but to answer your question, I think no, in fact seeds are the easiest to send, send by post, no problem, there is no pest risk as well. Though some countries still require phytosanitary permits if you declare it. Hope this answers your question somewhat... But Tran's problem is that whole plants might harbor pests and diseases, and of course difficult to ship withtout attracting attention.

Not really I have to do it by my self. If the Plants Protect Department doing in hardway it will cost 3 years to comlete !
