Not quite as big as N. rajah but it could swallow whole dozens of tiny drosera: Size does matter http://s4.images.proboards.com/rolleyes.gif ! There's something eerie about this pitcher, don't you think http://s4.images.proboards.com/tongue.gif ? http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7691/s6000190np9.jpg http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/7...4b54cd4c90.jpg http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/3657/s6000192qv2.jpg http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/3...00a8cd6584.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/5430/s6000196ln9.jpg François. Yes! Once in a while you see an unopened pitcher that is as spectacular as any mature one. I always liked this pitcher: http://nepenthes-shop.com/documents/P7075570.jpg It looked strong and tough even at this stage. It later opened up to this: http://nepenthes-shop.com/documents/P7225867.jpg Nepenthes ventricosa x (truncata x mindanaoensis) Very nice so far...be sure to post when it's open! I wonder how resistant this species is to highland conditions. I remember reading on another forum, a grower who'd managed to keep this plant alive in UK winter without heating. I'd also second Ludwig's last words! Thanks for the kind words http://s4.images.proboards.com/smiley.gif. Quote:François, are the pitchers of this species coloured like that mostly or it is just your plant? http://s4.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif Cindy, I've heard of green plants but there are also many "brown" specimens in the wild. Augustin, I don't know if this species would cope well with highland conditions. Mine grows in full lowland conditions with a lof of light. Oh, just forgot: the pitcher has opened. It is now more than 20 cm long. http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1343/s6000200fa2.jpg http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/1065/s6000203sf5.jpg François. « Last Edit: Apr 15, 2008, 6:38am by sockhom »Link to Post - Back to Top http://s4.images.proboards.com/ip.gif Logged rsivertsen New Member http://s4.images.proboards.com/star.gif member is offline http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t...tsen/oscar.jpg Joined: Apr 2008 Gender: Male http://s4.images.proboards.com/male.gif Posts: 15 Location: Northwest New Jersey, (USA) http://s4.images.proboards.com/xx.gifRe: N. neoguineensis « Reply #7 on Apr 15, 2008, 1:01am » WOW!
