The Typhoon went through the island too of course but I dont' think the nepenthes species will be of much danger, it is a shame of all those that died in that ferry disaster though. http://s3.images.proboards.com/sad.gif TTFN Arvin Link to Post - Back to Top http://s3.images.proboards.com/ip.gif Logged phissionkorps Advisor - Nepenthes http://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gifhttp://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gifhttp://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gifhttp://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gifhttp://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gifhttp://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gifhttp://s3.images.proboards.com/starred.gif member is offline http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...rdigradaSm.jpg if you don't grow from seed, toughen up! http://s3.images.proboards.com/aim.gif http://s3.images.proboards.com/buttons/www_sm.gif Joined: Oct 2007 Gender: Male http://s3.images.proboards.com/male.gif Posts: 307 Location: Republic of Texas http://s3.images.proboards.com/xx.gifRe: N.Sibuyanensis Cultivation « Reply #6 on Jun 27, 2008, 1:29am » The tendrils don't absolutely have to touch something to form pitchers. I think it might be more probable, or accelerate the process, but it is not a requirement. I've seen some nice, good sized sibuyanensis pitchers on pitcherplants that were known to not have rested on anything.
