Its so amazing you have like every cp I have ever heard of or not heard of!!!!!!

How did you obtain so many varieties and cultivars???????

Where did you get all those utricularia species that I have never heard of?

Khoas, you truly have an awsome growlist.

Some of the Utric are Australian native, other have been grown by more senior members of the ACPS and couple I have grown from seeds.
Large section of the Drosera and Sarracenia are seed grown plants which I obtained through swapping with people in Europe, US, Asia and South America.
Just bought a new shadehouse to house my cool temperate species and get out them of the greenhouse. Hopefully have the shadehouse up in the next week.
What really scary is I have about 100 punnets of seeds to sow this spring.

The lowii x truncata should do well in LL conditions. Most of my Neps collection are highlander or have large amount of highlander species in the cross. Highlander varieties are better suited to the climate here. My mirabilis seedling need extra heat to grow.

Re: Yet another Growlist

Just updated the grow list. Still got Sarra and VFT to pot up and by end of September seeds should start to germinate. Will update the list in a few weeks.
If you are wondering how I got such a large collection, well some plants have been brought through the local society and commerical business. Drosera binata var dichotoma 'Giant' and most of the Nepenthes and Pinguicula are obtain this way. The rest were gain through swapping, lots and lots of swapping seeds. I do have advantage having access to local native species ie Drosera whittakerii ssp whittakerii, etc.
So if you willing to wait for plants to grow up swapping seeds is easy and cheap way to expand your collection as well other fellow collectors.

Cheers,
Khoas

Keep very good records. When I pot up, sow seed all dates, location data, etc are keep on the label and on the growlist. For example a seed grow sarra would have species or hybrid, any location data, Clone line, date of sowing, country and name of where I got the seeds from. This help keep the ID of each plant unique. Also helps to have a good memory
