Khoas,

Can you share how you germinate Genlisea seeds and how you cultivate them in the appropriate board? I bought some Genlisea seeds some time ago and tried to germinate them. Nothing happen even after almost half-a-year. I want to know what other growers are doing to get the seeds to germinate and how they grow them.

The seeds I got were not cheap too... sigh! None germinated for me.

David,
I got the plant as adult. But since Genlisa is related to Utircularia I would suggest a 50/50 mix of peat and sand. Keep the water level about 1cm below the potting mix surface. Keep lightly shaded and warm. Do not cover the seeds.

Cheers,
Khoas

I have not got any good photo of the lowii x truncata. To be honest I need to change the growing conditions for Neps. It hot in summer and too cool in winter. I brought the plant about 4 years ago when it was about 10cm in diameter.
