N. sanguinea problem...
 

My N. sanguinea doing not well lately. Ok let start from beginning. Bought this plant last year with some kind of brown sand as a medium and place under full sun. About 1/2 month ago the leaf initially produce yellow spots so i move to under 50% shade with other neps. Then it it got worst and more yellow spot produce and the tip is like showing bulgy/ bumpy circles on it. Worry, i change to new medium (sphag + shredded bark + perlite in equal). Few days later the tendril start to blacken. Below is a pics taken 1 week + ago. Now, what on earth did i do wrong this time??

I think that would be fungus, though usually it has red spots. My truncata made a new leaf with rust spots and was bumpy along the edges of the leaf, I applied fungicide on it. You will feel like there's something INSIDE the leaf of the plant and the surface of the leaf will be bumpy around the spots.

I don't see any tendril blackening, most probably, ur plant is just going through shock. So leave it be in a humid environment to settle down again. Unless you damaged the roots badly during repotting :smile:

The blacken tendril is like normally when pitcher is drying out but in this case the tendril just straightaway turn black. I taken a pic today below. Is the below N. truncata infected by fungus? Any homemade remedy that can cure it? Actually how does it get infected? I have a good air circulation though.

Jimmy, your truncata is certainly infected. Usually it doesn't cause any harm unless in great number, but I find it not very nice to looks at. As for your sanguinea, I'm not sure what exactly the problem is. Deformed leaves would mean root problems or pest attacks.

Alpiner, the fungicide I got is from Fauzi. I don't know what brand it is, but New Trio does sell fungicide. The problem is that the smallest amount of fungicide sold by New Trio is in a can the size of Milo tin can. It's too much for a grower like me. So I got some from Fauzi for a few ringgit.

i think your N. sanguinea had a viral infection. i used to had this with my adenium and some other leaf plants such as peace lily. Is the leaves undergone necrosis?

No, besides looking ugly, it just stay that way until natural senescence.

the yellow spots is the sign of leaf rot, you can take and extract the juice of the infected leaf and rub it on a healthy leaf (whatever foliage leaf you can find) and see does the symptom appear or not
