I don't know jeff. They seem to do ok for me so far. Below is a picture my P. primuliflora and the condition I mentioned. I've been growing it in this condition for almost a year now. Any how, I like to experiment. I'll take your advise and alow the media to be on a dry side and see what happens. Perhaps it'll grow more robust.
