Some has white leaf lightly speckled with green. Some are in bright pink! Got them for less than RM15 Anybody planted these??? |

paphioboy,
Is this the plant where the sap has calcium oxilate that if consume may caused numbness or temporary paralysis in your mouth? If so better be careful now if any of you ever visits Andy. Better not make him mad... haa, haaa... Just kidding with you Andy!

Ya paphioboy is right....aglaonema is the name. Somewhat related to dumb cane. I think the sap is poisonous too.
So...David, be careful next time visiting me. I might spike your drink with some sap of dumb cane. ![]() ![]() No hard feeling. ![]() |

I don't know what is contained in the sap and I do not intend to taste it anytime soon..

Read somewhere that the sap contain oxalic acid (hope I'm getting this correct!) where it will cause severe swelling of your throat if swallowed. If the sap accidentally fall on or touch your hand or any parts of the body, it will cause severe itchyness. Only can be treated with warm salt water to neutralise the effect.
