Genlisea flower
Hmmm...Genlisea tends not to get much love from CP growers...but here's a flower. What do you guys think? Sorry my ugly hand is in the pic.

Re: Genlisea flower
Nice pic Ifurita. I have a violacea but haven't yet been lucky enough to get it to flower. I am hoping this will change when I set up my terrarium to keep the temperature up to it.

Re: Genlisea flower
How easy is it to start Genlisea from seed? I eventually want to get one (or a few) as well as some Utrics, but I don't want to bother spending twice the price of the plants for the shipping and handling.

Re: Genlisea flower
I'm not really sure how easy it is to start Genlisea from seed, since I've not succeeded so far. I hear that the seed needs to be fresh for even a decent chance of success and given that...heh. Where are you ordering from though? I would think that being in the USA, it should be relatively cheap for you to get these plants. Ordering stuff from the US and EU for me is a real killer when it comes to shipping, heh.

Re: Genlisea flower
I was planning to order the seeds from rarexoticseeds.com They offer Nep seeds too, but they don't say how old any of the seed is. I usually order live plants from SNW on the west coast. The shipping cost isn't terrible, its just not worth paying $30 shipping for a Genlisea and a few Utricularias.
